Purpose of position:
Provide technical engineering project and leadership to the Molding department.
Responsibilities include supervision of molding engineers/technicians, project
management (examples: PEx, cost reduction, management of business/production
support, new product), process development, process control and discipline
Implementation and trouble shooting of production processes.
Major
Responsibilities:
Process development on new products as they move into production: successful completion of validation process.
Process troubleshooting on existing products.
Provide production departments with technical support to make continuous and step change improvements.
Use statistical methods for product and process analysis.
Continuous improvements relative to HPWS pyramid sections for Process Discipline and Control.
Develop and implement cost reduction programs.
Project leader for process improvement initiatives.
Establish project goals and objectives
Project spending
Technical strategy implementation
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Plastics Engineering strongly preferred)
Minimum of six years' experience with at least two of those years in a manufacturing environment
Experience with injection molding
Strong computer skills; proficient with word, excel, powerpoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills:
Solidworks knowledge
Supervisory Experience
Familiarity with FDA/medical device manufacturing
